On Thursday, March 09, 2023, in the Crowne Plaza, Santry, Dublin the winners of the 2023 Irish Logistics and Transport Awards were announced, with our very own Customs and Operations Manager – Mark Anderson being presented with the Future Achiever Award 2023.
Since launching in 2010, the Irish Logistics and Transport Awards has continually recognised the ingenuity, resilience and flexibility exemplified by the companies and teams operating in this important industry in the face of huge challenges.
It was a fantastic event, getting to celebrate the achievements within the Transport and Logistics industry along with getting to network with such inspirational and professional individuals.
Mark Anderson said that “the event was a great way to celebrate the industry and to recognise the importance of its role within society and the economy”. He continued to say that he was overwhelmed by receiving the Future Achiever Award and was thankful to his directors and team for their support.
Post Brexit, Mark was tasked with implementing the highly specialised customs services offered by Westmond Logistics, covering Ireland, the UK, the EU and beyond. His knowledge and expertise withing customs has allowed traders to continue to move their supply chains across borders, with minimal or no disruption allowing them to grow their businesses after Brexit. His next venture – create the infrastructure to offer our extensive client base a bespoke air freight solution. All within two years of joining the company.
